Why I used "Hi" & "Hello"

My design portfolio is designed mainly for desktop. That's where the full experience lives. Detailed case studies, visuals, and interactions.

On mobile and tablet, I keep things lighter. I didn't build both at the same depth, so the mobile version is simpler but still tells people who I am and what I do.

That's why the greeting changes too.

On desktop, I say: "Hi, I'm Chandu." To me, hi feels like an in-person greeting. Like someone walked into my space and I'm welcoming them face to face.

Desktop greeting

On mobile/tablet, I say: "Hello, I'm Chandu." To me, hello feels more distant and universal. Like greeting someone who isn't right next to you, but still making them feel included.

Mobile greeting

Some people might notice the wording difference and wonder why. It's not random. It's about tone, context, and how I want the experience to feel.
